He was born in 1973 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province
In 1992, he was admitted to the Landscape major of Chinese Painting Department of China Academy of Art.
He graduated in 1996 with a bachelor's degree.
In 2001, he was admitted to the Department of Chinese Painting landscape master's degree.
In 2005, he graduated with a master's degree and taught in the Chinese painting Department of China Academy of Art.
He graduated in 2009 and is now an associate professor in the Department of Chinese Painting.
